After a week of studying Spanish in Cuernavaca, my sisters and I visited nearby Tepoztlán today. It is a gentle and magical community, with an ancient pyramid at the top of a mountain and several old churches and monasteries. While we were wandering through the central market area, we were delighted to witness a wedding procession through the center of town. Besides the bride and groom, the parade included a flower girl, a distinguished father of the bride wearing his military dress uniform and a large group of mariachis playing violins and horns!
